Final SLOG for CSC 104

This is the last week before finals and I would say that over all, CSC104 was not a challenging course for me. I think the lectures and tutorial quizzes were planed out well to let us keep up with the new materials and always look back to the previous materials while reviewing for the term tests. Some advices that I would give to students who are just starting this course would be: attend lectures, review before the weekly quizzes and just play with racket if you have time. I don’t think this is a really challenging course if you attend all the lectures and take notes while in lectures. All the review documents before the quizzes actually helped a lot in terms of reinforce the lecture materials and by doing more practices most materials would be easy to understand. Something that I found was a bit challenging was the two assignments that we were assigned. I figured that it really helped to have a teammate so that when one of you are stuck on one function, the other person may be a

Second Slog for CSC 104

For the past few weeks when I prepare for quizzes I usually just do the exercise problems that were posted on the course website. I would look at the practice problems and practice a few times the day before the quiz by both write the results down on paper and use step parallel on racket to check the results. I printed and did some of the practice tests before I start reviewing to see what I should focus on while reviewing. Initially I didn’t know how to do some of the questions and I figured them out by looking at other people’s explanations on piazza. I think piazza is really helpful. I think in order to do well on the tests it is imp

The reason that I chose CSC104 is because I want to explore my interests during my first year of University. I’ve heard from other people that this is a great course for people like me who don’t know anything about programming. Also I think it is important and would be beneficial in the future to know at least some basic knowledge and concepts about programming. I hope that by the end of this semester course I would develop some understanding about programing. I also took CSC108 for the spring semester so I hope that CSC104 would prepare me for future programming courses. Before attending the first lecture I expected programming to be some how boring and extremely hard since it is famous for its crazy cut-off rate for second year. However, for my experiences so far CSC104 is actually one of the most interesting and engaging courses that I had. Since I had no knowledge in this area of study, this course is completely new to me and I hope that as time goes by I could still be able t
